Day 17- Fasting and Prayer
Philippians 2:14-16
Do everything without complaining and arguing, that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
- Do everything without complaining and arguing. Pray that ICA members will understand that a life of complaining and arguing does not depict the light of Christ. Pray that for the sake of the mission we have to light the city we will work on putting to death the spirit of complaining and arguing.
- We are called to shine like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Pray that we will understand that this is a high calling - the light must be bright not ordinary. Pray that each one of us will understand what bright light means in our own setting.
- Pray that the crooked and perverse people of Lilongwe will be able to see the bright lights which the children of God will shine in this city.
- Holding firmly to the word of life is one way of ensuring sustainability of the Christian faith until Christ comes. Pray that every Christ devoted follower in this city will hold firmly to the word of life; that we will refuse to let go whatever happens to us.
