Ephesians 5:7-14

Therefore, do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason, it says, “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.”

1. Pray that we will courageously refuse to be part of things that dishonor God. Pray that we will resolve to disassociate from friendships, partnerships or relationships that have contributed to our lives of compromise.
2. As children of light we are expected to produce goodness, righteousness and truth, which are a fruit of light and are pleasing to the Lord. Pray that we will be willing to learn what is pleasing to the Lord and that this will inform the decisions we make on a daily basis.
3. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness. Pray that we will have the spirit of discernment in choosing what to participate in. Pray that we will avoid all unfruitful deeds of darkness and that we will determine to expose them. Think about the things that you need to expose this year; pray that God gives you courage.
4. There are certain things that have remained invisible and they continue causing trouble for Lilongwe City. Pray that this year these will be exposed. Pray for all sleepers that need to awake and arise from the dead to expose these things
