Get In Touch

Day 15- Fasting and Prayer

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

  1. “You are the light of the world.” This is a privilege and a responsibility. Pray that ICA will accept the responsibility of being light of Lilongwe City. Pray for yourself if you are struggling to understand this.
  2. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Ask God to forgive us for hiding our light for too long, rendering ourselves ineffective in the city. Some of the problems we have should have been dealt with long time ago.
  3. A light on a lamp stand gives light to everyone. This calls for intentionality. Pray that ICA members will make use of the cell system to make the light of Christ visible to the City of Lilongwe. Pray that we will start thinking outside the box.
  4. When our light shines before men, they will see our good works, and glorify our Father who is in heaven. Pray that “good works” will become our brand and that we will do that constantly and conspicuously.
  5. When we put our light in the right place, it will give direction to others. Pray for the spirit of discernment as we place our light in the city and pray that many who lack direction shall be properly guided so that many disasters shall be avoided in this city.
