1 Thessalonians 5:5

For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.

John 5:5-6

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

1. Pray that all Christ devoted followers will understand that we are children of light. Pray that we will ensure that there is a clear distinction between us and people of darkness. Pray that we will be each other’s keepers in this regard.
2. Commit to the Lord, all the hard situations in the city that could force believers to compromise their stand. Pray that we will always remember that our connection to Christ gives us advantage over children of darkness.
3. Pray for all children of light that behave as children of darkness, that they will be helped to preposition themselves as the light they are supposed to be to this city. Pray that they will repent from their deeds and determine to remain light.
4. Apart from Christ we can do nothing. Pray that our resolution will be to remain connected to Christ and to bear much fruit. Pray that none of us will wither and be thrown out.
