Prayer of thanksgiving: for ICA Sunday Services

1. Pray thanking God for the opportunity to gather, hear the Word of God and fellowship on Sunday

2. Pray thanking the Lord for the coordinated ministration by all units and servants involved in all services that facilitated the divine presence and an atmosphere of Worship.

3. Thank God for our Pastors and the preaching of the Word of God that came with power, clarity, assurance and conviction to transformation. Thank God for those that received the Word and were restored from backsliding during the service (in church and online/by radio/TV)

Sermon-based prayer points

1. Prayer for a clean heart and protection from backsliding for all ICA members: Pray that the Lord God Almighty, will cleanse the hearts of ICA members’ and that He will remove every root of backsliding. Pray that God will restore our joy and renew a steadfast spirit within us.

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” Psalm 51:10–12 (KJV).

2. Prayer against spiritual neglect and for consistent devotion: Pray that God will help ICA members to remain spiritually vigilant and consistent in prayer, His Word, and to personal & congregational devotion/fellowship, so that we do not drift away from His presence.

“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” Hebrews 2:1 (KJV)

3. Prayer for strength to overcome compromise: Pray that the Lord will strengthen ICA members to stand firm in His truth (The Word of God)- Your Word is truth Lord! Pray that God will help and strengthen ICA members to reject every form of compromise and to instead live according to God’s perfect will.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 (KJV)

4. Prayer for ICA members’ holiness and purity as God’s Temple: Pray that the Lord our God will help ICA members to honour God with their bodies, mind, and spirit. Pray that God will remove anything and everything in their lives that defile (s) God’s temple.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (KJV)

5. Prayer for ICA members’ restoration, renewal, and commitment: Pray to the Lord God Almighty, confessing our & ICA members’ sins before God. Pray that God will cleanse, restore ICA, and renew our commitment to serve Him faithfully and walk in His divine purpose.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (KJV).
