Praying for Sunday Services
Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” Psalm 85:6
“For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.” Ezra 7:10
“At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.” Colossians 4:3-4
1. Pray for the power and presence of God to rest upon all Sunday services at ICA. Ask that we will not gather in routine or human strength, but that the Holy Spirit will move powerfully in worship, in the preaching of the Word, and in ministry to the people. Pray that many will encounter God personally and leave revived, strengthened, and transformed.
2. Pray for open hearts and teachable spirits among all who will attend. Ask the Lord to remove distraction, hardness, pride, and unbelief, and to give every person a readiness to receive His Word with humility and obedience. Pray that people will not only hear the message but respond to it practically and walk in its truth.
3. Pray for all those serving—pastors, worship team, technical team, ushers, intercessors, media team, and every other worker. Ask God to grant grace, unity, wisdom, and strength to each one.
4. Pray that the message will be preached clearly and faithfully, that worship will lead people into God’s presence, and that every ministry element, including equipment and broadcasts, will function well without hindrance.
5. Pray for lasting impact after the service. Ask that the Word preached will produce repentance, faith, healing, boldness, and spiritual growth. Pray that believers will be equipped to live out the gospel in practical ways and be willing to share Christ with others during the week in their homes, workplaces, market place, schools, and communities.
