Praying for Malawi and People Groups of Congo, DRC
Praying for Malawi - John 14:27; Psalm 33:12; Isaiah 60:1–2; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 144:1
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.” John 14:27
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” Psalm 33:12
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1
1. Thank God for His mercy over Malawi, for the peace od God that continues to prevail, and for the spiritual hunger and revival stirred in the nation through the Easter season and the message of Christ’s death and resurrection.
2. Pray against the recent wave of crime, theft, and murders being reported in the nation. Ask the Lord to expose and destroy every evil work, stronghold, and wicked power behind these happenings, and let righteousness, justice, and the fear of God prevail in the land.
3. Pray for the economy, especially in light of the recent fuel price hike and the burden it has placed on citizens. Ask God to sustain families, provide ideas for better means of livelihood, and grant relief from the rising cost of living. Pray that people do not turn to crime or despair.
4. Pray for the Church in Malawi and ask God to raise godly children, youth, men, and women who will influence every sphere of society with truth and godliness. Pray that the Church will shine brightly in the darkness.
5. Pray that God brings healing to Malawi’s economy and that national leaders will govern with wisdom, compassion, and justice. Pray that sound policies will be put in place to support citizens.

1. Pray that the Lord will strengthen His Church among these people groups in Congo, DRC, so that believers will remain rooted in Christ, firm in the faith, and fruitful in every good work. Ask that those who already profess Christ will grow in spiritual maturity, obedience, and love for God’s Word.
2. Pray for deeper revival, true discipleship, and transformed lives among these people groups. Ask God to raise strong local believers and leaders who will walk in holiness, teach sound doctrine, and help the Church remain vibrant and faithful from one generation to another.
3. Pray that the gospel will continue to spread effectively among these communities, and that those who are nominal, lukewarm, or not fully committed to Christ will come into genuine salvation and surrender to Him. Ask that many homes and families will be fully won to Christ.
4. Pray that the Lord will raise labourers from among these people groups and send them out to reach others in Congo, DRC, and beyond. Ask for church planting, faithful witness, and a growing burden for the unreached, so that these communities may also become part of God’s answer to the nations.
