Thanksgiving and reflection on the Sunday message

Sent to preach amongst scorpions

Anchor verses: Ezekiel 2:1-10; 3:8-9,17-18; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 10:19

Thanksgiving:

Let us thank God for the powerful message we had on Sunday. We are sent out to preach the gospel amongst the scorpions with full authority from God; hence, we should be bold.

Prayer points

1. Faithfulness to God’s call. Mark 16:15 – And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”.

 Christ followers are called out by God. Pray that every believer should receive this call on a personal level and start doing it.

 Pray that as believers, we will not stop preaching the gospel because of negative results coming from the harvest field. Pray that believers will remain faithful to their call to the end, just like our Master Jesus. Mathew 27:54

2. Acknowledge God’s grace and authority for every assignment. Luke 10:19 – Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Hallelujah!

 Pray against fear and doubt that prevents Christians from preaching the gospel with boldness.

 Our fear gives advantage to the enemy. Pray that as Christians, we will stand on God’s word and not be overtaken by fear.

3. Obedient to God’s voice. 1 Samuel 15:22 – Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?

 Pray against an indifferent attitude among believers over God’s voice, knowing that God delights in our obedience to Him and not good works alone.

4. We are the Watchmen!! Ezekiel 3:17 – Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them a warning from me.

 Pray that every member at ICA will not sit on their God given assignment, but rather would act on it with urgency, knowing lives are at stake.

 Pray that ICA members will continue to be harvesters of souls in God’s kingdom and discipling believers.
