Praying for World Situations
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 82:3-4
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 –
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
1. Pray for Myanmar and Thailand, asking God to comfort those affected by the earthquake, bring healing to the injured, and provide swift relief to those in need. Pray for wisdom and strength for responders as they work to restore communities.
2. Pray for the safety and rescue of illegal immigrants risking their lives in dangerous journeys across the Mediterranean and other regions due to economic hardship. Ask God to intervene in human trafficking networks, rescue victims, and bring justice to those exploiting the vulnerable. Pray for governments to create policies that protect and support migrants.
3. Pray for peace and justice in nations facing war, unrest, and political turmoil, especially in the Middle East and Africa. Ask God to protect innocent civilians, guide leaders toward peaceful resolutions, and strengthen those working to bring justice and stability. Pray for the safety of journalists and those risking their lives to report the truth.
4. Pray for missionaries and evangelists in countries hostile to the gospel, such as North Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iran, and China. Ask God to protect, strengthen, and fill them with boldness to share Christ. Pray for underground churches to grow, for persecuted believers to remain steadfast, and for doors to open for the gospel in these regions.
