1. Pray for the wisdom on Christ and the spirit of discernment in our daily lives to see and recognize the needs of our neighbors. Pray that as Christ devoted followers, we will take interest in the lives of our neighbors.

2. Pray also that we will receive the gift of seeing and addressing beyond the obvious physical need that we see. Pray for the boldness and courage to preach Jesus Christ as the solution to the needs beyond the physical need. Pray for an ambition in us to go share the once and for all solution of our needs, Jesus.

3. Unlike the Pharisees that were restricting access to Jesus, pray against such selfishness in our dealings as Christians. Pray for a united faith and common goal to bring all people to Christ.

4. Pray for the holding of hands for the common good just as the group that carried the paralyzed man to Jesus. Pray for unity amongst us as Christians to work together. Pray against lone wolves or lone superheroes but the understanding that as a Church we have different yet interdependent parts and functions.
