Day 10- Fasting and Prayer
John 12:35-36
35 So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.” When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.
- Just as Jesus was light for a little while, we are not permanent dwellers of this city. Pray that we will take advantage of every moment God gives us to shine our light in the city, for we may be here just for a little while.
- Those who fail to take advantage of the light, are overtaken by darkness. Pray against procrastination on any of the resolutions we have made, individually or as a church, in line with lighting Lilongwe City; we do not want to be overtaken by darkness.
- He who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. Pray against any kind of ignorance that may render us directionless and hinder us from fulfilling our dream to light the city. Pray that there will be a lot of knowledge transfer at home cell and church level so that ICA members are able to do the right things.
- People can only become children of light if they choose to believe in the light while they have it. We are the light in this city. Pray that while people have us we will be able to lead them to salvation. Pray that your life will be so convincing that people will find it easy to accept Christ.
