John 3:19-21

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

1. People in this city love darkness because their deeds are evil. Pray that God will convict this city of evil as He did the City of Nineveh. Pray that evil doers will experience restlessness until they confess their sins.
2. When evil doers hate the light it should not come as a surprise to children of God. Pray that when the world hates us we will not waste our time and effort to fight back. Pray that God will give us wisdom on how to handle any kind of hatred that we encounter.
3. Since evil doers hate the light and avoid it, pray that we will tactfully force our light into the darkness to continually expose all evil deeds in this city. Pray that as deeds get exposed the fear of the Lord will be established in this city.
4. Whoever lives by the truth comes into the light; this is why we need many in this city to live by the truth. Pray that our priority shall be to increase the knowledge of truth and a determination to encourage everyone to live by this truth.
