Presenting Our Bodies as Living Sacrifices
Romans 12:1
“I appeal to you therefore brothers, to present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God. Which is your Spiritual worship.”
- Let us pray to God for wisdom and discernment of what an acceptable sacrifice is. Pray that our living sacrifice (your body) will indeed be accepted by God this Sunday as true worship. Pray to God to accept your body as a living sacrifice.
1 Corinthians 6:17
“But he who joins with the Lord becomes one Spirit with Him.”
- What an honor and experience to become one with the Living God. Pray that as we offer our true spiritual Worship, the Spirit of God comes down and makes us one with Him. Pray that we will be united with God. Pray that we will join hands with the Lord as we present our bodies as living sacrifices.
Acts 2:1 & 3
“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place” Vs.3 “And divided tongues as fire appeared to them rested on each of them.”
- Pray that when the Holy Spirit consumes the sacrifice (His Church, you, and me) He will rest on us. Pray that the Holy Spirit will settle on each of His people like He did in Acts Chapter 2. Pray that the Holy Spirit will find a home in each of us this Sunday as we present our bodies as living Sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God.
1 Corinthians 2:12 - 14
Vs12. “Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the Spirit from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.”
- Thank God and give Him praise for He has not given us a spirit of the world but His own Spirit. Pray that we access the gift of understanding. Pray that by the Spirit of God shall grant us he ability to understand the things that God has freely given to us.
Zechariah 4:6
“Then the Lord said to me, this is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power buy by my Spirit say the Lord of hosts. Who are you O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain…”
- Pray that when the Spirit of God consumes us as the sacrifice, we shall gain the power that He comes with. Pray that any troubles, worries and anxieties, any great mountain Infront of us will be moved by the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 16:7
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.”
- Thank the Lord for His goodness in sending us a Helper. Thank Him for His love and generosity in not leaving us alone. Give Him praise for such a great resource, The Holy Spirit.
