Praying for His Excellency

Daniel 1:19-20, Daniel 4:34-37, 1 Tim 1:7

1. Pray for His Excellency Dr Lazarus Chakwera. Thank God for the position that He as placed him in. Pray for the Lord’s strength to renew and rejuvenate him. Pray that despite the inevitable increasing pressure in the field of politics, HE will remain steadfast in the goodness of God.
2. Pray against the spirit of fear and double mindedness in the HE’s convictions. God has not given him a spirit of fear but of love, power, and sound mind. Pray that that God given spirit of power and sound mind be hid portion in Jesus’ name.
3. Pray for integrity and purity in his convictions. Pray that even when God does not rescue him or will not rescue him, he will still honor the convictions placed in his by the Holy Spirit. Pray that he (His Excellency) will be willing and prepared to suffer for our faith. For our reward is in being prepared by the ultimate Judge.
4. Pray that His Excellency’s convictions will help clarify his decision-making process. Pray for courage and boldness to stick to his morals when presented with dilemmas in life. Pray also for the support of the Holy Spirit, to remind and teach him what the word of God says in times of difficult decision making.

Praying for least reached groups

1. Islamic areas of Burkina Faso and Cape Verde are heavily dominated by Islam. Christians represented less than 1% in these areas. Pray for a revival of the Holy Spirit in areas such as Tuareg, Tamasheq. Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these areas.
2. Pray for the Christians in Cape Verdean. Cape Verdean has the largest population and the largest percentage of Christians. Pray that these Christians become witnesses of the Power of God to the neighboring people groups. Pray for boldness in evangelical efforts in the region of Cape Verdean.
3. Pray for the distribution of Christian literature in these least reached out groups for Burkina Faso and Cape Verdean. Pray for Bible ministries and societies to reach far and wide into such remote areas of the world.
