1. South Korea now has over 50,000 Churches since the first Protestant Congregation in 1884. Praise God for the ongoing Churches in South Korea. Pray for fresh revivals in the South Korean Churches, the Churches are currently facing difficulties in connect to the younger generation, hence a threat to Christianity in the region.
2. Considering the raising military threat of North Korea, any conflict would immediately affect millions. Pray for the Political and Christian leaders, that they may be well prepared should anything of such sort happen. Pray for wisdom in their decision making in such an event.
3. Despite South Korea representing one of the largest Church congregations in the world, the Church is currently facing difficulties concerning its credibility, therefore impacting the numerical growth of churches. Let’s pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to reign in the local congregations. Isaiah 55:11 “The word of God shall not return to Him empty”. Pray for the fulfillment of this promise in the lives of the South Koreans.
4. South Korea is currently also leading the Digital transformation age. Pray for the youth of South Korea to be bold and take advantage of media to spread the Gospel. Pray for more Christian workers in South Korean universities to impact the lives of youth.
5. Christian literature as in many places is a key ingredient to Christianity expansion. The Korean Bible society prints over two million copies each year. Additionally, Korea houses six major Bible production companies. Pray that these ministries might have powerful impact in getting the Word of God into the hands of non-Christians and become helpful in shaping a positive Biblical worldview.
