The Kingdom of Heaven & Seeking God’s Mercy
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” Luke 17:20-21
O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. Psalms 130:7-8
Praise and Thanksgiving
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23!”
1. Praise the Lord for His great faithfulness, because through His mercies we are not consumed and His compassions fail not; He is our Shepherd and we shall not want, supplying all our need according to His riches in glory, preserving our going out and our coming in, and faithfully establishing and guarding us.
2. Exalt the Lord for His living and powerful Word that encourages, teaches, corrects, rebukes and equips us for every good work. Thank the Lord for ministering life and transformation to us through His truth.
Prayer
1. Pray for a deeper revelation of Jesus as the sovereign and eternal King among all ICA members and the church in general. Pray that we may live in awe of Him, trust His control over all world events, and rest confidently knowing we are safe in His hands.
2. Pray that as ICA members we may fully live as committed citizens of God’s eternal Kingdom, fulfilling our divine assignments with confidence and inviting others to become part of this great and everlasting Kingdom.
3. Pray for sincere repentance and a deep cry for God’s mercy that secures true forgiveness, awakens a reverent fear of the Lord, shapes a transformed and devoted life, and restores us from every failure through His abundant redemption.
4. Pray for grace to wait on the Lord with steadfast hope, trusting His timing and promises above human opinion, and believing that His plenteous redemption is sufficient to renew and restore us, our families, and our nation.
5. Pray that we will never be too proud or too fearful to cry out to the Lord in every season, and that our lives will reflect a continual ascent toward Him — seeking Him in both sorrow and joy, walking in humility, dependence, and confident trust in His unfailing love.
