The Power of the Blood Part 1: Freed to be Free

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1, NIV

The blood of Jesus Christ is not only the foundation of our forgiveness but also the means of our daily transformation. Hebrews 9 and 10 emphasize that His blood secures eternal redemption, purifies our conscience, and opens bold access to God's presence. Many believers are free, yet still live under new forms of bondage because they do not grasp the ongoing power of Christ's blood and His redemption. Instead of striving for acceptance, we are called to rest in the finished work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary and serve God from a place of cleansing and assurance. The blood is not just a past event—it is a present power!

1. Thank God for Eternal Redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Thank God that this salvation was paid in full through His Death and Resurrection.

“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Hebrews 9:12 (KJV)

2. Pray for a purified conscience and freedom from dead works: Pray that through the Blood of Jesus Christ believers will be cautious that Christ purified us from guilt, shame, and mere religion. Pray that we will be set free to serve Him with joy, sincerity and holiness.

“How much more shall the blood of Christ... purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Hebrews 9:14 (KJV)

3. Pray for a deeper revelation of our identity in Christ and that believers will not be enslaved again nor return to the bondage of Sin. Pray that we will be diligent in our quest for Christ, boldly declare and profess our freedom through the blood of Jesus Christ always.

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 (KJV)

4. Pray claiming bold access to God through the blood of Jesus Christ and that believers will thirst for God, have confidence in God and develop a daily intimate relationship with God. Pray that God will teach us to consciously walk in the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, that we are justified by faith through His blood and the confidence that we are saved from God’s wrath through the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” Hebrews 10:19 (KJV)

“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Romans 5:9 (KJV)
