Bouncing Back

Thanksgiving:

Psalm 103: 1-2 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits

• Give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and his benefits, for he has sustained us in the first quarter of 2025.

• Thank the Lord for the powerful Sunday service we had.

• Worship the Lord for his goodness and mercy towards us.

Sunday Service: Bouncing Back : James 1:1-3, Romans 5:3-5

1. Have a Steadfast Faith in God’s Sovereignty and His Goodness

• Pray that ICA members will trust in the absolute sovereignty of God, believing that nothing happens outside His control and that He is always working for their good.

• Ask God to help ICA members keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, so their faith remains firm through every trial.

• Pray that like Job, ICA members will be able to declare, “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him” — choosing steadfast hope even when life doesn’t make sense.

• Pray that ICA members will rest in the truth that God knows what is best, and surrender completely to His will and timing.

2. Wait on Him for Strength

• Pray that those who are weary or discouraged among ICA members will wait on the Lord and receive new strength, mounting up like eagles (Isaiah 40:31).

• Ask God to restore those who feel like Peter — emotionally drained, disappointed, or distant — and to renew their passion for His mission.

• Pray that ICA members who are dealing with broken dreams or failure will run to Jesus, not away from Him, and find healing and purpose in His presence.

• Pray that as ICA members wait on the Lord, they will experience transformed thinking and renewed minds (Romans 12:1–2).

• Ask God to restore self-esteem and identity in those who have been wounded, so they see themselves through the lens of God's love and truth.

• Pray that ICA members will understand that true resilience comes not from willpower, but from receiving strength through the Holy Spirit.

3. Understand the Contrary Wisdom of God

• Pray that ICA members will learn to walk in God’s contrary wisdom, especially in seasons of trial, trusting that His ways are not our ways.

• Ask God to help them embrace the truth that His strength is made perfect in their weakness, and that He is most glorified when we are most dependent on Him (2 Corinthians 12:9).

• Pray that ICA members will hold on to the perspective of Paul — afflicted but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair — confident that God is with them in every storm (2 Corinthians 4:8–9).

• Pray that they will not rely on worldly wisdom or human understanding but will boldly trust the leading of God, even when it looks upside down to others.

4. Rekindle Resilience by Looking at the Vision

• Pray that ICA members will have their spiritual vision renewed, so they don’t lose heart or direction in times of difficulty.

• Ask God to revive passion for the mission and restore clarity around the calling He has placed on their lives.

• Pray that ICA members will endure trials with joy, like Jesus, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2).

• Ask the Lord to keep the bigger picture of His kingdom and purposes alive in the hearts of ICA members, so they stay motivated and resilient always

• Pray that the hope of impact, transformation, and eternal reward will fuel resilience in every ICA member, even in the face of suffering.
