Praying for the United States of America

• Pray for the spiritual heritage of the United States, which is under attack from various groups, including aggressive secularists and atheists, who use their media influence to discredit Christians and erase Christianity from public life. Acknowledge that divisions among Christians and weakened testimonies have made them vulnerable to such attacks. While rising post-colonial perspectives raise important issues within Christianity, pray that these are addressed in a spirit that builds rather than destroys.

• Pray for unity among American Christians, that they may stand together, speaking the truth in love, and preserving the Christian legacy and the freedoms of their country, including free speech. Ask God to grant Christ-like attitudes and conduct in all interactions, whether with fellow believers or those who oppose them. May Christians in America live out their faith in ways that reflect the gospel, showing that how they speak and act matters as much as what they say.

• Pray for revival in the American Church—not the kind marked by flashy events and theatrics, but a true revival characterized by deep conviction of sin, heartfelt repentance, and a transformative outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Acknowledge that the public face of Christianity often fails to reflect Christ, sometimes turning people away from Him instead of drawing them closer. Pray for the gospel to be proclaimed not as mere self-help philosophy, but as the life-changing truth of salvation through Jesus.

• Thank God for the places where genuine revival is already happening, and ask that His Spirit move powerfully to spread this revival across the nation. Pray that the Church may once again become a beacon of hope, love, and truth in Christ.

• Pray for the ethnic minority churches in the United States, which represent the growing edge of US evangelicalism, particularly in urban areas and increasingly in counties where racial and ethnic minorities are the majority.

1. Asian Church Growth: Give thanks for the vibrant networks of Asian congregations, including the 4,000 Korean churches, over 1,000 Chinese churches experiencing rapid growth, and numerous Filipino congregations. Pray for continued expansion among Arabs, South Asians, Vietnamese, and Iranians. Ask for a greater movement of the Holy Spirit among Asians in the USA, as they have the lowest rate of Christian affiliation of any ethnicity.

2. Cultural Balance: Pray for these churches as they navigate the challenge of integrating first-generation immigrants with second- and third-generation youth. Ask for wisdom and discernment for leaders to preserve the integrity of the original culture while embracing relevant aspects of mainstream US culture. Pray for many to answer the call to full-time Kingdom service despite cultural pressures.

3. Strategies for Discipleship: Pray for effective strategies and stronger cooperation between Anglo-American and ethnic-minority churches and agencies to disciple these communities. Thank God for ministries like the IMB, AoG, CMA, and CoG, which are actively planting churches and discipling among ethnic minorities. Pray for unity in these highly fragmented ministries.

4. Missions Vision: Praise God for the growing missions’ vision among Asian-American churches, particularly Korean-Americans, who have the highest proportional missionary sending rates. Pray for the mobilization of immigrant Christians as missionaries to their countries and people of origin. May this movement expand among Chinese-Americans, Hispanics, and African-Americans, furthering God's Kingdom globally.
