• Praise God for missionaries serving around the world, often in challenging and hostile environments, as they boldly declare the gospel. Thank Him for their sacrifice, faithfulness, and commitment to His mission.

• Pray that the missionaries would be strengthened by the grace of Christ; pray that they would stand on the promises of God and derive their confidence from the past, present, and future triumphs of Christ.

• Pray that the missionaries would be actively making disciples. Making disciples does not happen passively; it requires actively pursuing people, planning what to teach, and raising up people to lead and serve the local church. Pray for wisdom, creativity, and perseverance in fulfilling this vital mission.

• Pray for missionaries to not fall into distractions. For some missionaries, the host culture can be so difficult and daunting that they slip into anesthetizing habits thus ending up distracted from their goal of making disciples. Pray for resilience against distractions that could pull them away from their purpose, ask God to renew their passion and clarity.

• Pray for illumination from the Word. Pray that missionaries would do the work of Bible memory and meditation. Missionaries will lose perspective and hope if they only read the Bible briefly and occasionally but do not take time to meditate on the word. Pray that they will gain perspective, hope, and strength through deep engagement with the Spirit-intended meaning of God’s Word, equipping them for their ministry.
