Praying for Spain (Europe)
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14

Spain, once a hub of Catholicism, now grapples with spiritual decline, secularism, and societal challenges like drug abuse and gambling addiction. While the evangelical movement shows growth, many regions remain unreached, and churches often struggle with limited resources. However, there are great opportunities for ministry, especially among immigrants, youth, and the elderly. Unified prayer is essential to spark revival, renewal, and effective outreach across the nation.
1. Pray for Spiritual Revival: Ask God to awaken the hearts of Spaniards, leading them to turn from secular materialism and pursue a renewed relationship with Him. Pray for healing from historical wounds of religious persecution and for a genuine revival within the Catholic Church (2 Chronicles 7:14).
2. Pray for Deliverance from Addiction: Pray for freedom from drug abuse and gambling addiction, particularly among young people. Ask God to work through Christian ministries to bring hope, healing, and restoration to individuals affected by these destructive habits (John 8:36).
3. Pray for Unity and Collaboration: Pray for unity among evangelical churches and agencies to collaborate effectively in planting new churches and discipling believers. Ask God for wisdom and resources to reach towns and regions where there is no Christian witness (1 Corinthians 3:9).
4. Pray for Immigrant and Marginalized Communities: Pray for God’s love to reach immigrants from Latin America, North Africa, and China, that they may become vibrant witnesses for Christ in Spain. Lift up the elderly, young people, and other marginalized groups, asking for effective outreach and support (Isaiah 61:1).
5. Pray for Bold Gospel Proclamation: Ask God to raise up missionaries and leaders who will boldly proclaim the gospel among the Basques, Muslims, and other unreached people groups. Pray for a harvest of new believers and the establishment of thriving churches in these regions (Matthew 9:37-38).
