Praying for Malawi
“He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the Lord’s, and he has set the world in order.”
1 Samuel 2:8 NLT
“The Lord detests the use of dishonest scales, but he delights in accurate weights.”
Proverbs 11:1 NLT
1. Pray for the very poor of Malawi- those in the deep rural areas- the Lord sees them. Pray that he will continue to sustain them by His mighty power and to provide for them by His mercy
2. Pray against dishonest scales in any organization in this country (whether governmental or non-governmental). Pray that all works of the enemy will be exposed
3. Let us continue to pray for the road safety of Malawians. Pray against any accidents
4. As much as most Malawians claim to be Christian, a deeper understanding of the message of the Gospel is needed. Pray for revival in Malawi that will bring depth in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Praying for Unreached People Groups
“Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.”
2 Thessalonians 3:1 NLT

1. Thank God for the gospel has reached many parts of Ethiopia and even today many are coming to the Lord. Pray that the word will continue to spread rapidly against all odds
2. The nation of Ethiopia struggles through social, political, and economic crises. Most of the above ethnic groups divide themselves largely by geographic region, which gives each more independence at the expense of national unity. Pray against division in this country and especially that Christians in these various people groups will work together and demonstrate unity for the sake of the gospel
3. Amidst the economic crises, pray that resources will be made available for the gospel to be preached to all in these people groups in Ethiopia
4. Pray for the people groups that still struggle with strongholds of other religions including Islam and ethnic religions. Pray that word of God will penetrate those people groups in Jesus’ name
