The Lord of All
As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all) Acts 10:36. Acts 10:36 ESV
1. Let us exalt the Lord, our God and King. He is worthy of all honour and glory (Psalm 145:1). Thank God for His goodness and enduring love. His faithfulness is our strength and hope, and let us give thanks to Him, for His love endures forever (1 Chronicles 16:34). To the Sovereign Lord, all power and glory belong to Him. His is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is His (1 Chronicles 29:11). Let us honour His majesty and submit to His reign over all creation.
2. Pray that we recognise that we have an urgent call to recognise, accept and demonstrate that Jesus is Lord of all. Pray that we are always conscious of this call and align our lifestyles and passion to the call.
3. His Lordship is confirmed in people who are discipled. Pray that as we willingly accepted Jesus in our lives, we will willingly demonstrate his Lordship in our lives and allow him to disciple us and direct our footsteps.
4. His Lordship is demonstrated by our obedience to His commands. Pray that our behaviour, conduct, thoughts and speech demonstrate that Jesus is in our hearts. Pray that we will obey every command that the Lord gives us daily. Pray that we do not settle for laziness and disobedience in the name of freedom.
5. Pray that we realise that every moment that we are negligent of his commands we are saying He is not Lord at all. Pray that we more freely, wholeheartedly, and willingly come to Him for worship and service.
6. His Lordship is extended when we go and make disciples. Pray that we will be willing to take risks in obedience to God. Pray that we will obey God despite contrary desires and cultural convictions.
7. Pray that we realise that it is only when we obey and go that we declare that He is Lord. Pray that just as our Christianity emanates from those who obeyed the call, we also will give our all for the sake of the salvation of others. Pray that our feet will be among the beautiful ones that carry good tidings to many.
