Praying for World Situations
- Continue to pray for the peace of Israel. Pray that God in His power and wisdom intervenes in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Pray for an end to the killing of civilians on both sides. Pray that human life is treated with dignity and that the war will not escalate into a regional conflict.
- Pray for all countries that are at war in Africa and the middle East. Pray for restoration of peace. Pray for the United Nations to take appropriate peace keeping actions that will bring effective results.
- Liberians recently had presidential and parliamentary elections – the first since the 2018 exit of a UN mission that kept the peace for more than a decade in a country scarred by two devastating civil wars. Pray that the results will be well managed and that the tensions that are there will come to an end. Pray that the political leaders will have a resolve to see peace in Liberia.
- The UN says it has pulled its peacekeepers out of a camp in northern Mali earlier than planned, because "their lives were in danger". Pray for God’s intervention in Mali. Pray that all the waring factions will come to their senses and work for restoration of peace in Mali.
- Pray for the Zulu royal family in South Africa that are contesting the line of succession through a court case. This Kingdom has an influence in South Africa. Pray that the struggle for power to be managed well and be resolved amicably.
- There is new evidence of the brutal ethnic violence that has swept western Sudan since fighting broke out between two rival military factions in April. Analysis of satellite and social media data reveals at least 68 villages in Darfur have been set on fire by armed militias since the civil war began. Pray for God’s intervention for this bloodshed to stop. Pray that the Lord will deliver all who are calling upon his name.
- Signs of the end times are evident across the world. Pray for the church to be committed to preaching the gospel to all nations in these last days. Pray for grace to take the gospel to unreached people groups across countries where it is risky.
