Raising Children in Babylon
- Our commitment to raising children and/or raising the next generation is essential regarding our participation in the mission of God. Pray that God will give us the grace to raise children with the right values and convictions in line with the Kingdom of God.
- Thank God that ICA parents and guardians are fully empowered and equipped to raise a godly generation. Pray that as we raise children and support our youth in the City, we will understand the dynamics of the environment that we are in. Pray that we are aware of false gods that call out and demand worship and try to attract our children and youth into disobedience to God.
- Pray that we understand that we are dealing with principalities and powers and that we need to put on the full armour of God so that we are able to stand to raise godly children.
- Pray against the false gods of hedonistic sex and sexuality, materialism, comparison and conformity. Pray for the grace to raise our children and next generations in such a way that they recognise and reject all false gods. Pray that they will glorify God the Almighty and be the salt and light of the world.
- Pray that ICA parents/guardians will respond to issues affecting children and the youth with empathy. Pray for more wisdom and understanding. Pray that as parents/guardians, God will give us the grace to teach our children and youth such that they are not overtaken by the love of money and wealth.
- Pray for parents/guardians that are struggling with wayward children. Pray that such children are delivered and that their parents will stop seeing themselves as failures. Pray that both children and parents/guardians will submit to the authority of the Lord our God, Yahweh.
