Praying for World Situations
- Thank God for the celebration of Pentecost in the past week that took place throughout the world. Pray that the outpouring of the Spirit and revival that is taking place due to this celebration will cause the church world over to be ignited to reach out to unreached people groups.
- Pray that the Lord of Harvest will send out more labourers into the harvest field. Pray that all who are being sent will hearken to the call and be willing to go.
- Pray for countries with people groups that are hard to reach such as in the Middle East and North Korea. Pray that the Lord will make a way for such people groups. Pray that God will reveal himself to such people groups in extraordinary ways.
- Pray for believers that have said yes to the great commission and are serving in countries where there is persecution. Pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will cause them to endure and that their persecutors will be saved in miraculous ways.
- Pray that the love of Christ will be made known among those that are fleeing from war, political turmoil, economic hardships, natural disasters and many other challenges that makes life difficult across countries.
- Pray for men and women that are caught up in modern day slavery.
- Modern slavery is defined as ‘when an individual is exploited by others, for personal or commercial gain.’ The individual(s) can be tricked, coerced or forced and they lose their freedom. A recent report by Anti-Slavery International has listed top ten countries with the highest prevalence of modern slavery as: North Korea, Eritrea, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Afghanistan and Kuwait.
- Pray that the evil cartels behind human trafficking and modern slavery to be exposed and brought to justice. Pray that the victims will be freed and healed from the trauma. Pray that all countries will truly be committed to ending this slavery and human suffering.
