Praying for Malawi

2 Chronicles 20:6-7; 11-12

“Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. 7 Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? 11 See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance. 12 Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

1. God rules over all the kingdoms of nations, including Malawi. Pray that this truth will help us as a nation to depend on the Lord for everything. Pray that Malawi will be connected to the economy of God, who makes a way where there is none.
2. Malawi needs God’s mercy in every aspect for us to make progress. Cry out for God’s mercy over our lives, our relationships, our government systems, our policies, our decisions, etc.
3. Pray for the new financial year starting in April. Pray that God will give Parliament wisdom to develop a budget that meets the needs of Malawians.
4. Thank God for the harvest that we anticipate to have this year. Pray that we will learn to manage our harvests well and reduce post-harvest losses as much as possible.
5. Pray that God will rise up to judge all the enemies of Malawi trying to tamper with our inheritance.

Praying for People Groups of Chad

Acts 17:26-27

26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

1. God ordained that these people groups should inhabit Chad and He knows all of them well. Pray that they will realize that God knows them and has special interest in their affairs.
2. Pray that within their designated boundaries they will seek this God and meet Him while He may be found.
3. Pray that labourers will be available to reach out to these people groups with urgency and that they will have the required resources.
4. Pray for the protection of those that respond to the gospel of peace that they will never think of going back when they meet opposition.
