Praying for World Situations
Jeremiah 32:17 (ESV) - Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
Hebrews 4:16 (ESV) - Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Psalm 47:2 (ESV) - For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.
• Thank God for the successful ceasefire talks between Israel and Gaza. Pray that this ceasefire will last.
• Pray that the Russia-Ukraine war negotiations for a ceasefire will bear lasting fruit for this war to come to an end, avoiding further loss of lives, for nothing is too hard with God.
• Pray against the spirit of abduction in countries like Nigeria, where it is common, and in other countries. Pray for the safety and release of students and teachers who are in captivity in Nigeria after they were abducted from a Catholic school.
• Pray for the safety and material provisions of all people displaced in Sudan due to the devastating war that has gripped the country for over 2 years.
• Pray for peace to return in Tanzania following the post-election unrest. Pray that the planned demonstrations on December 9 will not turn violent.
