Thanksgiving

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Thank God for the successful Urban Missions Conference that we had. It was a great time of recommitting our lives to the mandate of the Great Commission and the Lord greatly ministered to us.

Thank God for all that participated in making the Conference a success. Pray that the Lord will replenish their strength.

Pray that we will be doers of the Word that we heard throughout the conference.

Sermon- Based Prayer: Rewards for Harvesters

Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”

John 4:36-38 ESV

Rewards are a recognition of the Owner (Benefactor). Pray that we will understand the importance of the work that the Lord has assigned to us and take it seriously, knowing that there is a reward that He alone will give us.

Rewards assume costly responsibilities. Pray that we will understand the costs of being a kingdom worker and that we will be willing to pay those costs (the costs of compassion, perseverance and partnership).

The Owner (Benefactor) describes the rewards. Pray that we will appreciate and understand God’s reward system that goes beyond material things.

Pray that we will live by faith and be committed to the work of God despite the description of

the Rewards.
